From the blog:

I’m a pediatrics resident. If and when I decide to grow up, I want to be a pediatric hospitalist.

The Hampster Wheel – Eccentrecities of a Surgical Resident

From the blog:

I currently reside in New Orleans, spending an alarming amount of my waking hours training in general and vascular surgery. The rest of my time is devoted to my wife Nathalie.

(And with God’s grace, we survived Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.)

Indian Medic

I am 24 years old and am a doctor with an MBBS degree, which is the basic degree in medicine in India. I am yet to specialize and get an MD. So basically I am caught in the no man’s land between graduation and post-grad and struggling to reach the shore. Meanwhile, life goes on…jobs, family and friends don’t cease to exist do they?

Cut on the Dotted Line

Cut on the Dotted Line

From the blog:

I graduated from medical school and started a general surgery residency in 2007.

I was homeschooled K-12, and raised in a Reformed environment. This blog is my way of recording the course of my residency, and reflecting on how Christ’s absolute claim as Lord of all creation can be lived out in medicine, specifically in the field of surgery.

Interests include classical music, enjoying God’s outdoors (rock-climbing does not count as enjoying), reading omnivorously, and practicing needlecrafts.

Dreams include visiting all of Europe and not missing any cathedrals, becoming fluent in at least three foreign languages, and having a family like Cheaper by the Dozen.

NY Emergency Medicine

NY Emergency Medicine

From the blog (first entry):

Welcome to the first Blog for NY City Emergency Medicine Residents — the goal is to link the 13 programs in the city and 3 in Long Island. This is an open forum for residents to discuss topics in Emergency Medicine, interesting cases, tricks of the trade, moonlighting, career advice, or simply to set up an evening out among residents.

New York has its finest (NYPD), its boldest (Corrections), its bravest (FDNY)…I think its time we make our presence known – any suggestions for an adjective that captures our importance to the city that never sleeps (like us!)?
